Seotember 26, 2015 is designated as World Contraception Day, focusing on every woman’s right to reproductive choice and ready access to contraception. A study by the Alan Guttmacher Institute in 2014 found that 40% of all pregnancies worldwide are unintended. Too many women have little or no access to contraception. This is unacceptable in a world with a human population of 7.4 billion, with an annual growth rate of 75 million, the equivalent of about 12 cities the size of Los Angeles.
